Rain Forests not the Carbon Sinks we thought

A new study says that outgassing from streams, lakes, and other wetlands produces up to three times the amount of CO2 gas than previously thought. According to the article, this increased outgassing equals about a fifth of what humans are producing, and leaves the forests at about even for ouputting / absorbing CO2. These findings could certainly screw up any kind of emissions trading system.
