Aw Hell...

This AP article scares the bejesus out of me (link via Sean Kirby):

Support for the First Amendment has eroded significantly since Sept. 11 and nearly half of Americans now think the constitutional amendment on free speech goes too far in the rights it guarantees, says a poll released Thursday.
Of course, poorly structured polls can mean fuck-all, and the AP isn't giving any details about the questions or sample. However, knowing the number of anti-hate-speech freaks on the left and their bible-thumping brethren on the right, a number of this size doesn't really surprise me. It terrifies me, but doesn't surprise me.
